Thomas’ Branding Session
Shooting with Thomas was such a great time and this was the first of multiple projects! Thomas is a local musician in Charlotte who sings and plays multiple instruments, including piano and electric guitar. I’ve seen him perform and he’s phenomenal! Before his shoot he sent me some inspiration photos of some in studio photos using red lights and wanted to replicate the idea. When he first arrived to his session he told me that he had never done a professional photo session before and that he didn’t have many photos of him that he liked. I guaranteed him that even though he wasn’t sure how the shoot was going to turn out, that we were going to get amazing photos, and I certainly kept my word.
Anytime I shoot a branding session with someone I really want to make sure to capture the essence of their brand, what they do and the mood and vibe that they want to give off. With Thomas, he performs a lot, typically at night and he plays multiple instruments. I wanted to give off the bad-a musician vibe while still incorporating his red light idea into a good bit of the photos.
